Panels for 2013

Okay, I'm going to be telling people this, I'm going to be doing 1 panel that is a must, that's the Mythology Panel for Wasabi. I'm not doing anymore this year until I find something more about Samurai, which I'm going to be doing for 2014.

Also I'm going to be working with the Bronys here in Colorado with their convention, which will be announced later on next year.

This is real

Okay, I'm a huge Japanese history buff and when I saw the announcment online from just peeking at some Kenshin videos, I was sort of, "okay, as long as it isn't my idiot friend in Japan doing stupid stunts." Then my mouth went dry, I suddenly saw what looked to be a trailer for an actual movie.

Rurouni Kenshin live action was announced back in 2005 amongst us fans, not really to be taken seriously, we were almost always looking into it, thinking not true, not true, hell no, now well...history just decided to spit on our stupidity. Here in August 25th, Rurouni Kenshin live action will be playing in theaters in Japan.

While us Americans wait with our breath held hoping that we aren't skipped over for this. I already missing Mushi-shi and some other movies because of my lack of knowledge. I'll be following this to the quick and we will be announcing the dates and times on this blog.

If it comes to Colorado, hope to have you come join me at the Starz theater at the Tivoli.

Now just enjoy a trailer of what is to come!

Sakura Festival

I went to the festival and sadly, I couldn't find the little book shop in the shopping area that I got some of my history books and mythology books from. So sad...oh well...I will check to see if they will be at Dragon Boat Festival.

So far the literature I have been working with is the stuff I have had for awhile, it will work and I will have some more research materials.

Why I'm getting excited, time to get all the information and get it ready for the publishers, it isn't easy and I expect a lot of work ahead. So yes, anyone can ask me.

As for NDK, I'm just warning my fellow panelists to be careful of the director of panels and events, he's not really a trust worthy and a grump. I wish any panelist as NDK luck each year hoping that they continue a great tradition.

The Animeland Wasabi panels will be up and running soon, I'm not going to have a few problems like NDK had, I already learned that from someone that my After Dark Program was not at all successful. I decided to give it a break and try it again at Wasabi. We are working toward a large amount of Ghost Stories and other  scary things.

I'm going to also see if we can view Kaiden, a great movie that is a little dated, but I want to do the tales of Yuki Onna and other scary creatures.

Research time agian

Okay, as many people are trying to get a hold of me, try on here, I'm kind of going to be busy the next few weeks trying to keep up with research and posting my findings. I just found some manga and stuff that I'm dying to talk about on here. I'm certain people are not going to like this, but oh well...nothing I can do, research moves on.

As for plans for conventions, I'm going to make my usual appearance at NDK, but I'm possibly going to be just in the bar doing my research and trying to talk to people. Any friends who want to converse, come join me there. I'm glad to share notes and also experiences.

Panels for 2013, I'm going to be returning to my post on Mythology After Dark: Ghost Stories and Death Rites with my fiance at Animeland Wasabi. Any other conventions I'm speaking at will be posted on here, but I"m not planning anything too big for 2013.

Book plans, okay, the first fact that yes, the new draft was rejected, won't give up though...if anyone wants to give a hip hip hurray when it is finally accepted by a publisher, I will be giving a publishing party. I am going to request on thing though please don't invite yourself just yet, I will be giving formal invitations to anyone who wants to come.

Other news, sad stuff really, not sure how to say much on the matter, lost a few friends to the popularity thing, but that's expected. Anyway, let's get back to the positive light, the panels will be up and running for 2013.

Japanese Mythology, Vampires of Anime, and Ghost Stories will be top priority when it comes to working for Animeland Wasabi. Anyone who is willing to join the cast and help with the scary parts, please give me a call on here of course. No one else is going to be talking on the matter again on forums.

Please no announcing anything on the forums unless I'm the one to do the announcing, it is nice to have people talking and all, but it isn't a good idea to get ahead of ones self.

Plans for 2013

Panels in the works

Japanese mythology will be on hold, and Vampires of Anime will continue on direct, until the book is finished, I will not announce whether I will do it or not, but I think I might just update and work on the book.

Other news

Nothing has been happening on the book yet, I'm still getting some what if crap from some groups. So if anyone knows anything, I'll be excited to hear from it.

If you're a cosplayer who is interested in doing a mythology photo shoot, I am working on it over the summer. the project is for the book.

If you have anything you want to do, e-mail is: ylsa_heraldhealer@yahoo.com

Information Central

After Wasabi

If anyone who has seen my panels and wants to meet up with me for later in the summer or spring, I am going to be seeing about hosting some local events where you can ask me questions and also ask what is going on.

I am not going to list all the books I'm working with because it would take awhile and also I'm having to revise several sources and omitting some that have turned out to be incorrect. Anyway, if you have anything to add or help add.

Vampires of Anime

With the success of the vampires, I will be working with other groups and trying to build this panel up, I found that during the panel, I was sort of trying to remember the things I researched and also talking to different groups.

As for my friend who has proferia, she's not really doing too well since she had to go back to the hospital and missed Wasabi. She was supposed to come, but I ended up having to tell her what was going on afterward today. So have her in your prayers and hope that she doesn't get more sick than she already is.

I am happy to thank KT Gray for showing up, it was great and I hope to see her again. The more I learn about vampires the more fun it gets. I hope someday that Crispon Freeman walks into my Japanese Mythology panel, in fact he was the inspiration to learn as much as I can about Japanese Mythology and also Vampires.

News on the book!

New Drafts

That's right I have started on the new book and I'm working on the new drafts and also working toward a new panel for Animeland wasabi. I'm not sure how anyone is going to like what I'm writing, but I'm going to insist that the drafts are being brought up and also proof read. I'm looking at the moment to see the publishing, I'm also going to be looking for some pictures and also seeing if anyone wants to donate.

Online Book

I am looking at doing an ebook, even though I don't want to, I am stuck with the idea that it might not work. I am thinking that maybe this is the best option until I have enough money to put it on paper. I'm not really fond of ebooks because of the options and also the fact that sometimes I can't tell how long the book will take or be. I will make revisions based on it.

SOPA and PIPA

Sorry to be short and to the point, I'm protesting SOPA and PIPA at the moment, so I haven't had much more to talk about in the moves against these bills. I am sorry to say, I don't want to lose this blog!

News

Book Revisions

I have been going through notes preparing for panels, but sadly, I have noticed I need to revise again. How does this affect the book? Well....it means that some things are going to be rewritten and new entries.

Other issue, whether the book will be in hard form where you can flip pages or be an e-book for people with ereaders, Nook, Kindle, or anything else.

Animeland Panels

NO IDEA, don't ask, don't tell, sorry, haven't had any notice from the convention directors whether I'm doing the panels or not.
